No longer the MKX, the 5-passenger crossover is named for Lincoln owners’ ideas and attitude. Whatever the justification for this particular name, the new convention seems to be better suited for Lincoln’s line up and overall awareness. With the new name comes the brand’s signature grille and new wheel selection. An impressive bit of new safety tech is Evasive Steer Assist which minimizes the risk of a rear-end collision by steering around the slower or stopped vehicle if the system determines there is a safe area to do so.
Lincoln seems to be locking in on a specific target customer, finally giving the brand a singular direction. An important pieces of Lincoln’s success remains being able to differentiate its products from their platform-mates at Ford.
